CGCRI Recruitment 2022 – CSIR-Central Glass & Ceramic Research Institute has announced an online job notification for recruitment to the post of Technician/Technical Assistant. There are 70 vacancies are to be filled for this posts. Interested candidates who are all eligible for this recruitment can apply on or before 31 May 2022. CSIR – Central Glass & Ceramic Research Institute is a premier national laboratory under Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), New Delhi, which is an Autonomous Body under Department of Scientific & Industrial Research (DSIR), Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India. The Institute undertakes a wide range of basic and applied R&D projects spanning the areas of specialty glasses, specialized optical fiber, Sol-gel processing of glass and ceramics, nano-structured glass and ceramics, engineering ceramics (both oxides and non-oxides), ceramics for bio-medical applications, ceramic
membranes, advanced refractories, ceramic sensor, oxide fuel cells & batteries, traditional ceramics (white ware and red clay pottery) etc. Majority of the research projects are funded by government agencies, strategic sectors and private industries. The Institute has excellent infrastructure by way of sophisticated analytical instruments, modern laboratories, pilot plants, library, local area network and workshop.

CGCRI Recruitment 2022 for Technician/Technical Assistant:

Educational Qualification: CGCRI Recruitment 2022

Technician :

• SSC/10th Standard or equivalent with science subjects, with minimum 55% marks and ITI Certificate or national/state trade certificate in relevant discipline. OR Or SSC / 10th Standard or equivalent with relevant subjects, with minimum 55% marks and 2 years full time experience as an apprentice trainee from a recognized Institution in computer hardware and network maintenance.

Technical Assistant:

• Diploma in Relevant Engineering or Technology of at least 3 years full-time duration or 2 years full-time duration in case of lateral admission in Diploma course, with minimum 60% marks and experience of 2 years in the relevant area/field. OR B.Sc. or equivalent with minimum 60% marks and B.Lib. Science. OR B.Sc or equivalent in relevant field, with minimum 60% marks and 1 year experience in relevant field.

Age Limit: CGCRI Recruitment 2022

• General –  28 years

Upper age Relaxable by:

• OBC Candidates: 3 Years
• SC, ST Candidates: 5 Years
• PWD Candidates: 10 Years
• PWD (OBC) Candidates: 13 Years

Salary: CGCRI Recruitment 2022

• Technician – Rs. 19,900 – 63,200/-
• Technical Assistant – Rs. 35,400 – 1,12,400/-

CGCRI Recruitment 2022 Selection Process:

• The candidates as recommended by the Screening Committee will be invited for Trade Test. Those who qualify in the Trade Test will be invited for a competitive written examination. There will be three papers (Paper-I, Paper-II and Paper-III). Paper-II and Paper-III will be evaluated only for those candidates who secure the minimum threshold marks (to be determined by the Selection Committee) in Paper-I. The final merit list will be prepared only on the basis of the marks obtained by the candidates in Paper-II & Paper-III.
• Mode of Examination: OMR Based or computer Based Objective Type Multiple Choice Examination, Medium of Questions : The questions will e set both in English and Hindi except questions on English Language.
